CARBON FOOTPRINT

In 2023, we began a process of implementing ISO Carbon Management tools, to contribute to decarbonisation and to the fight against climate change.

Organisation

To establish the Organisation Carbon Footprint, we followed the ISO 14064-1:2018 standard, which makes it possible to quantify the direct and indirect GHG emissions for the company.

This will be the starting point for developing reduction and/or compensation projects, in line with European Union principles for decarbonisation.

Product

We have also begun a Project aimed at quantifying the Carbon Footprint of our products.

The reference PCR used was PCR 2022:04, version 1.0.1, “Fabrics”, of the Programme Operator International EPD System.

The Carbon Footprint calculated, in accordance with ISO 14067 – CFP Systematic Approach, enables us to identify the GHG contributions of the main life cycle phases, as well as the CO2eq/U.D.: this enables us to act on important themes for reducing our carbon footprint.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT

Using the consumption and production information, we can analyse the structure and trend of a number of indicators essential for energy positioning (Energy Performance Indicator or EPI).

In the three-year period 2020-23, there was a general improvement of the EPI, which saw a reduction of 6%, thanks to a more efficient use of electricity.
